Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly organized and analytical individual to provide exceptional support in our health insurance operations. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing data, responding to inquiries, and maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data entry tasks with high accuracy and efficiency, ensuring seamless integration with our health insurance systems
  • Respond to telephone and written inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner, providing exceptional customer service
  • Evaluate customer situations, make decisions, and respond quickly to questions, demonstrating a deep understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, staying current with industry developments and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and drive business growth
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare or health insurance environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results
  • Experience evaluating customer situations, making decisions, and responding quickly to questions, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Data entry and/or typing experience, with a minimum of 40 wpm typing speed
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and independent decision-making skills, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of customer service experience in a health insurance environment, with a focus on data entry and customer service
  • 6 months of data entry experience in an office environment, with a strong understanding of data entry software and systems
  • Experience working with various lines of business, i.e., CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management, with a deep understanding of health insurance products and services
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, with a strong ability to apply this knowledge in a customer-facing role
