Job Summary
We're seeking a talented Remote Customer Service & Data Entry Specialist to support our Travel Department in delivering exceptional client experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Accurately entering and updating client information, travel bookings, and other essential data into databases and spreadsheets
- Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records of client interactions, travel itineraries, and vendor contracts
- Reviewing data for errors and discrepancies, and taking corrective action to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Collaborating with travel advisors, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure efficient data entry processes
- Preparing and organizing documents, reports, and spreadsheets to ensure clarity and accessibility of information
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing ideas for enhancing data management practices
Key Responsibilities
* Data Entry: + Accurately enter and update client information, travel bookings, and other essential data into databases and spreadsheets + Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of client interactions, travel itineraries, and vendor contracts + Review data for errors and discrepancies, and take corrective action to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Customer Service:
+ Respond to client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner + Collaborate with travel advisors, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure efficient data entry processes + Prepare and organize documents, reports, and spreadsheets to ensure clarity and accessibility of information
- Process Improvement:
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas for enhancing data management practices + Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements and ensure seamless operations
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in data entry or administrative support, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in data entry software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant applications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience in data entry or administrative support, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in data entry software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant applications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant applications
- Knowledge of the travel industry and its operations
- Certification in data entry or administrative support, such as Certified Administrative Assistant (CAA) or Certified Data Entry Specialist (CDES)
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
