Job Overview:
We're seeking a compassionate and patient Remote Customer Support Representative to provide essential support to individuals enrolling in public benefit programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls and interact with customers in a professional, empathetic, and compassionate manner, providing a seamless experience that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
- Provide information and assistance with program enrollment, adhering to established policies, procedures, and privacy laws, ensuring that customers receive accurate and timely support.
- Route customers to appropriate contacts via three-way calls, ensuring a seamless transfer of information and minimizing wait times.
- Assist customers with communication needs, such as relay services for callers with speech or hearing impairments, and translation services for non-English speakers, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
- Place outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Utilize multiple computer systems to access data and document information, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- At least one year of customer service experience, with knowledge of public benefit programs and health or human services experience being a plus, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex systems and provide informed support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great active listening and attention to detail, enabling you to effectively engage with customers and resolve their concerns.
- Strong PC skills, including the ability to quickly learn new computer applications, ensuring you can adapt to our technology and systems with ease.
- A positive attitude, empathy, patience, and professionalism, with strong multitasking skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, allowing you to thrive in a dynamic and challenging role.
- Good problem-solving and de-escalation skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, ensuring that you can handle complex situations with ease and discretion.
