Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced ServiceNow Customer Administrator to join our team, responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our ServiceNow platform. As a key member of our IT department, you'll work closely with our stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of our ServiceNow instance, providing exceptional support to our users, and driving business growth through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

As a ServiceNow Customer Administrator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Personalizing and creating forms and fields to meet business requirements
  • Creating new applications, modules, and tables to support business processes
  • Activating plug-ins and integrating third-party software to enhance our ServiceNow instance
  • Building reports, gauges, and homepages to provide real-time insights and analytics
  • Setting up Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and monitoring SLA workflows to ensure timely resolution of incidents
  • Creating and tracking Service Catalog requests, and items with variables to streamline business processes
  • Creating, modifying, and publishing Service Catalog workflows with approvals to ensure efficient and effective incident resolution
  • Following the notification process back to the Business Rule to ensure seamless communication
  • Importing data into the instance to support business intelligence and analytics
  • Creating and using update sets to facilitate moving customizations between instances
  • Searching, populating, and customizing the Knowledge Base to provide valuable insights and resources
  • Creating Access Control Rules (ACLs) to ensure secure access to our ServiceNow instance
  • Creating global controls for attachments and cookies to ensure secure data management
  • Custom scripting to automate business processes and improve efficiency
  • Building third-party software integrations to enhance our ServiceNow instance
  • Answering technical and application configuration questions to provide exceptional support to our users
  • Aiding in translating business requirements into technical requirements to ensure effective solution delivery
  • Facilitating the rollout of new applications and modules to support business growth and innovation
  • Managing the ServiceNow system upgrades that occur three times per year to ensure seamless transition
  • Assisting in troubleshooting patch/release management issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A college degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with ServiceNow implementation, administration, and customization
  • Proven experience with web technologies, including XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, and more
  • Experience with web applications, networks, protocols, and email (SMTP, POP3)
  • Basic understanding of ITIL v3 methodologies and enterprise IT architecture
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and experience with database manipulation via a programming language
  • Impeccable time-management and record-keeping skills
  • The ability to take complex end-user requirements to code
  • A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • A strong personal commitment to quality service
  • The ability to work independently and with a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with LDAP directories, such as Active Directory, eDirectory, OpenLDAP

  • Single Sign-on using Digested Token, SAML 1.1, SAML 2.0
  • Web Services integrations
