Job Summary

The Customer Sales Executive (CSE) is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of the customer's business, as well as the ability to develop and execute business plans that drive profitable sales growth. As a CSE, you will be responsible for achieving net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin targets for assigned customers. You will also leverage insights to build a 1 to 3 year business plan and deploy supporting tactics to achieve financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Achieve net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin targets for assigned customers by simulating and planning incremental volume and pre and post analysis as well as displaying core competencies and behaviors.

  • Effectively utilize arenaflex's analytical tools (e.g. Trade Winds, IRI, Ahold TradePoint system, EYC Loyalty data and RSI, etc.) and processes to drive profitable and predictable sales results.
  • Build and maintain appropriate sales plans in Trade Winds.
  • Manage trade fund budget to include clearing deductions.
  • Monitor and control customer expenses to include WASTE and supply chain costs.
  • Develop and provide resources and tools to the retail team.
  • Achieve appropriate levels of account penetration.
  • Work collaboratively with arenaflex Seasonal CSE and Shopper Engagement.
  • Some travel required to Costco regions as well as arenaflex, PA on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Core competencies needed for the CSE include the ability to:

  • Adapt to changing business environments and customer needs.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to innovate and take calculated risks.
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with customers.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Display a high level of integrity and ethics in all business dealings.
  • Effectively work closely with the extended team to achieve common goals.

Experience calling on Costco is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual who is passionate about sales and customer relationships.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree required.

  • At least 8 years relevant sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of the confectionery industry and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
