Experienced Behavioral Health Customer Service Advocate – arenaflex Health Services – Remote

As a Behavioral Health Customer Service Advocate at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in supporting members and providers seeking services for mental health and/or substance use disorders. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that every caller's experience with arenaflex is both efficient and compassionate. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to delivering exceptional service, navigating complex systems, and providing timely support to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take back-to-back phone calls from members and providers, utilizing your active listening and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

  • Triage and conduct intake for risk of harm and substance use concerns, ensuring that callers receive accurate information and timely support.
  • Communicate eligibility, assist with scheduling appointments, provide referrals, quote benefits, and advise on authorization requirements, all while maintaining a high level of empathy and compassion.
  • Utilize resources and independent judgment to deliver accurate information, exceptional service, and resolution on the first call, often navigating multiple systems and applications across multiple screens.
  • Collaborate with matrix partners and coordinate seamless handoffs to clinical teams for timely support, ensuring that callers receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Remain at your workstation while handling calls from a phone queue, utilizing your strong time management and multitasking abilities to prioritize tasks and manage your workload effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, or bachelor's degree in another field plus 2+ years of behavioral health experience.

  • Customer service experience, with a strong focus on empathy, active listening, and problem-solving.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your workload effectively.
  • Proficiency with typing and PC usage, including the ability to navigate multiple systems and applications across multiple screens.
  • Ability to remain at your workstation while handling calls from a phone queue.

Training Schedule:

Our comprehensive training program will take place Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM CST. During this time, you will receive in-depth training on our systems, policies, and procedures, as well as guidance on how to navigate complex healthcare systems.

Work Schedule:

Once you have completed your training, you will be offered a permanent 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM CST. This will allow you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still providing exceptional service to our members and providers.

Internet Requirements:

If you will be working from home occasionally or permanently, you must obtain your internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $19-$29 per hour, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan. In addition to our competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive range of benefits, including:
