Experienced Remote Evening and Weekend Customer Support Technician – Radiology and IT Support

As a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and interpretation services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Evening and Weekend Customer Support Technician to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide first-level support for physicians and customers for both general customer support and IT. The ideal candidate will have experience working evening shifts, excel working independently, and possess both medical terminology and radiology imaging experience, as well as light IT troubleshooting and Help Desk experience. Weekends are a must, and the successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and overnights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-level support for physicians and customers for both general customer support and IT
- Create and fulfill support requests for all task-related issues
- Assist with answering any questions when calls come in to assist Radiologists with the continuous flow of exams being read with as little interruption as possible
- Make outgoing calls for Radiologists as instructed
- Monitor incoming exams for errors and fix them when necessary
- Facilitate account creation and password resets for user accounts
- Basic troubleshooting for IT issues
- Polite and courteous assistance to doctors and other medical staff at all outlying facilities we support
- Comply with all HIPAA laws and regulations related to electronic management of medical information
- Ensure clients and DIA staff are assisted during the evening and weekend hours, including referring physicians, residents, radiologists, and medical staff
- May cover additional shifts as necessary
Ideal Candidate:
* 1-3 years of helpdesk experience
- 1-3 years of medical terminology specific to radiology imaging
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, direct, and passionate
- Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle high-pressure, stressful situations
- Mindful of time constraints and deadlines
- Handles multiple and potentially conflicting assignments, demands, and priorities
- Maintains attention to detail over an extended period of time, adapting to varying conditions
- Maintains a pleasant telephone presence under all circumstances and conditions
- Responds quickly to emergencies and other non-routine situations
- Communicates effectively with team members, employees, patients, families, and co-workers
