Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Illinois area. As a frontline representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to applicants and members of the TennCare Programs, addressing their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. This is a full-time/part-time remote position, offering a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing frontline assistance to applicants and members of the TennCare Programs, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assisting members with reporting changes to their cases, filing appeals of eligibility denials and terminations, and addressing general member inquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of member interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and arenaflex policies.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support to members.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in customer service, health insurance, and Medicaid.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service environment, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Strong PC proficiency, including working with multiple computer systems and software applications.
  • An Associate's Degree in social or behavioral sciences or a related field, or a High School Diploma with relevant experience.
  • Experience with health insurance/Medicaid is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual language skills (Spanish) are required, with the ability to communicate effectively with members and internal teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
  • Familiarity with TennCare Programs and Medicaid policies.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field.
