Job Summary
As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of arenaflex, providing exceptional service to our members and providers. You'll be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls related to healthcare benefits, administering intake documentation, and providing compassionate care to those in need. Key Responsibilities
* Research and articulate medical information regarding various services, including educating providers on claims, member eligibility, benefits, EAP services, claim status, and authorization inquiries.
- Meet key performance indicators and service standards while showing compassion to members and providers.
- Identify and respond to crisis calls with appropriate resources.
- Facilitate routine referrals and triage decisions that don't require clinical judgment.
- Comprehensively assemble and enter patient information into the appropriate delivery system.
- Demonstrate flexibility in areas such as job duties and schedule to aid in better serving members and achieving business and operational goals.
- Support team members and participate in activities to help build a high-performance team.
- Assume full responsibility for self-development and career progression, proactively seeking and participating in ongoing training sessions.
- Stay abreast of operational changes, updating yourself to ensure accuracy.
- Assist efforts to continuously improve by identifying and bringing to the attention of responsible entities operations problems and/or inefficiencies.
- Lead or participate in activities that help improve Care Center performance, quality, and culture.
- Navigate systems, document customers' comments/information, and forward required information.
- Responsible for reading and retaining information disseminated through multiple resources, ensuring calls are addressed accurately and appropriately per account information.
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or medical-related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in a healthcare-related field, such as medical billing or coding.
- Certification in medical terminology or a related field.
- Experience working in a call center or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare benefits and policies.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
