arenaflex's Bureau of Motor Vehicles is a vital part of our organization, serving the residents of Indiana with a wide range of services, including vehicle registration, driver's licenses, and title transactions. As a BMV Floating Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

As a BMV Floating Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting customer transactions using your job knowledge to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Answering customer questions and providing guidance to resolve their concerns
  • Assisting with the daily opening and closing of the branch, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow
  • Checking transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and proper accounting to maintain the highest level of integrity
  • Collaborating with leadership to resolve escalated customer concerns and system problems
  • Filing applications as completed throughout the day to maintain accurate records
  • Traveling to other branch locations within the Region based on operational need to provide support and ensure continuity of service

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Top-notch communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A high level of critical thinking and troubleshooting ability to resolve complex customer concerns
  • The ability to process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
  • A valid Driver's License, as you will be required to travel to other branch locations within the Region

Nice-to-Haves

While not essential, the following skills and qualifications would be beneficial in this role:

  • Experience working in a government agency or public sector organization
  • Knowledge of BMV procedures and regulations
  • Familiarity with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and other relevant applications
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills to serve a diverse customer base
