Role Description Senior Higher Education Advisor / University Partnerships Lead Argonove is exploring a flexible engagement with an experienced higher education leader to help shape and accelerate university partnership strategy. This role may be structured as advisor, fractional executive, consultant, or operating leadership engagement, depending on fit and experience. The successful candidate will help guide Argonove’s engagement with universities and the broader higher education ecosystem, including partnership development, institutional positioning, stakeholder navigation, and strategic growth. Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting university partnership strategy and relationship development
- Advising on university governance, institutional decision-making, and stakeholder engagement
- Helping identify and engage prospective university partners and ecosystem stakeholders
- Providing insight on research, innovation, workforce, infrastructure, and campus priorities relevant to partnership development
- Supporting positioning, messaging, and institutional materials tailored to higher education audiences
- Representing or advising Argonove in discussions with university leaders, associations, and ecosystem participants as appropriate
Engagement Structure & Location This role is envisioned as a flexible engagement and may be structured as an advisor, fractional executive, consultant, or contract operating role, depending on fit and experience. Washington DC–Baltimore proximity is welcomed but not required.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates may bring one or more of the following backgrounds:
- Former university president, provost, CFO, research leader, facilities / infrastructure executive, innovation leader, economic development leader, or senior higher education strategist
- Deep understanding of university governance, administration, budgeting, capital planning, or institutional partnerships
- Experience with capital projects, P3 models, campus infrastructure, energy, technology, research ecosystems, or strategic growth initiatives
- Strong relationships and credibility within the higher education ecosystem
- Strategic mindset with ability to operate across complex institutional environments and multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Interest in the intersection of higher education, AI, infrastructure, technology, workforce development, and economic development
