Job Title: Program Navigator And Tech Hub Coordinator (Full-Time) Start Date: Immediately Mission: Preparing communities for the 21st Century Digital Future About Smart North Smart North, a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3), seeks a dynamic and driven individual to support and expand an innovative program that provides access to 21st century digital and technology skills, with an overarching mission to advance digital equity. The Community Tech Hub (CTH), developed in partnership with community organizations, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs, offers young people (ages 12–24+) and adult women 18+, from underserved and rural communities—exposure to emerging technologies, hands-on learning, mentorship, internships, and pathways to higher education and certification training in high demand higher paying tech careers. Beyond technical skills, the CTH fosters a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where youth and adults can explore music, art, coding, robotics, animation, and more—while also accessing wellness resources such as social-emotional support, food pantry, and clothing closet services. Position Overview The Program Navigator and Community Tech Hub Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role combining on-site work at the Tech Hub, community-based outreach, virtual engagement, support the development, design and delivery of various programs that could be in person, hybrid and virtual. This role is central to driving youth engagement, building community partnerships, managing outreach pipelines, supporting programming, and amplifying program visibility through content and storytelling. This position requires a highly organized, creative, and community-driven individual who is equally comfortable engaging in person, managing processes and systems, supporting holistic youth development, and creating compelling digital content. Reports to: Tech Hub Manager Location: Minneapolis, MN (hybrid: Tech Hub site, community sites, and virtual) Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), including daytime outreach, after-school/evening programming, and occasional events Key Responsibilities 1. Community Outreach & Relationship Building (Core Priority) ● Conduct consistent in-person outreach to schools, partner organizations, and community sites to recruit and engage a diverse group of youth and families ● Execute ongoing email and digital outreach campaigns to educators, nonprofits, and community leaders ● Build and maintain strong relationships with youth, parents, teachers, and community stakeholders ● Represent Smart North at community events, school visits, and partner meetings ● Participate in outreach efforts across partner organizations and Tech Hub sites ● Track all outreach, engagement, and relationships using Salesforce (CRM). Training will be provided, if no prior experience 2. Content Creation, Storytelling & Social Media (Core Priority) ● Create engaging, on-brand content (photos, videos, reels, graphics, blogs, and written posts) highlighting tTech Hub activities, youth work, and program impact ● Manage Smart North’s social media platforms, including posting, engagement, and growth strategies ● Capture content regularly at the Tech Hub, schools, and community events ● Develop outreach collateral and marketing materials using tools like Canva ● Create quarterly blogs and storytelling pieces that reflect program outcomes ● Align content with outreach strategies to drive recruitment and community awareness ● Track engagement metrics and adjust strategies accordingly ● Utilize AI tools to support content creation, storytelling, and digital literacy efforts 3. CRM, Data Tracking & Reporting (Core Priority) ● Manage Salesforce data entry, tracking, and reporting for participants, partners, and outreach efforts ● Maintain accurate records of engagement, attendance, and program outcomes ● Support grant reporting, evaluation, and data analysis ● Co-lead efforts to meet grant metrics and reporting requirements ● Create weekly and monthly management reports 4. Program Support, Youth Engagement and Case Management ● Work on-site at the Tech Hub supporting programming Monday to Friday from 3-8 pm ● Help youth develop projects (idea generation, materials, mentorship connections, and execution) ● Support youth in planning for future academic and career pathways using our established resources and partner network

  • Provide Case management for all youth in the certification program and for specific grant funded programs

● Coordinate and collaborate with programming partners to deliver tech-based programming ● Be willing to learn, train, and assist partners in delivering programs ● Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants ● Provide basic technical support, troubleshooting, and computer maintenance 5. Certification Training Programs’ Support ● Take a lead role in coordination, engagement, and outcome tracking for our certification training programming ● Provide support for the adult women’s certification training programming, especially for Minneapolis-based participants ● Assist with communications, coordination, and participant follow-up 6. Tech Hub Operations & Administration ● Support daily operations alongside the Tech Hub Manager ● Maintain organization, cleanliness, and functionality of the space ● Ensure proper use, safety, and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure ● Coordinate with site partners as needed ● Provide administrative support including record-keeping and program logistics ● Participate in partner trainings, network meetings, and collaborative initiatives across Tech Hub sites ● Interact and collaborate with teams across other Tech Hubs in Minnesota 7. Events, Field Trips & Community Engagement ● Plan and execute workshops, events, and community activations ● Organize and conduct field trips, site visits, and excursions ● Coordinate social events for youth, mentors, and partners ● Support community-building initiatives and engagement activities Desired Skills & Experience ● 3–5+ years of experience working in nonprofit organizations with youth, particularly underserved populations ● Proven track record in youth development, community outreach and relationship building including managing small and medium sized events ● Experience working in structured and unstructured learning environments ● Experience in digital equity, STEM education, workforce development, or technology access initiatives

  • Strong content creation and social media management experience (required)

● Ability to capture and edit photo/video content and create engaging digital media ● Experience using everyday tech tools such as Canva or similar design tools , Google office space, Microsoft office suite, Slack, Notion, etc ● Familiarity with AI tools for research, content creation, and digital learning ● Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems (preferred) ● Experience with case management or youth support services (preferred) ● Experience managing or leading small teams ● Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills ● Ability to connect with diverse communities and foster inclusive environments ● Interest in technology as a creative and empowering tool ● Self-starter with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

  • Willing to travel and/or drive to Tech Hubs or locations outside of the Twin Cities
  • Must clear background check

Other Information:Physical Demands This job requires simple grasping and fine manipulation, sitting at a desk and using a computer for extended periods of time, moderate use of telephone, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Requires occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds. Also required is:

  • Ability to assist with event set up for on-the-ground outreach activities, such as moving tables and lifting boxes
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs
  • Ability to sit in a chair for long periods of time

Compensation ● Full-time (40 hours/week) ● $22–$25/hour (based on experience)
