About the Role

As an Experienced Patient Billing Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers. You'll be responsible for answering inbound calls, resolving patient inquiries, and initiating payment plans for outstanding balances. Your expertise will be sought after to resolve complex billing issues, and your passion for customer service will shine through in every interaction.

Responsibilities

- Answer 80+ inbound calls per day from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers - Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances - Utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone - Maintain performance goals and become proficient with processes after completing a structured training program - Perform successfully in a team environment and contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of arenaflex's products and services, as well as industry trends and regulations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines - Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment - Excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple computer screens and applications - Proficiency in alpha-numeric data entry and excellent communication skills - Ability to navigate complex billing systems and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent required - Minimum 1+ year work experience in medical billing, customer service, insurance claims, EOB, call center, or fast-paced environment - Previous work in high-volume calls environment with multiple computer windows open highly desirable - Previous interaction and communication with patients regarding medical information strongly preferred - Ability to work independently and manage time and tasks effectively in a remote environment

Technical and Other Requirements

- Internet download speed of at least 50 megabytes per second connectivity required for remote work - Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord (no Wi-Fi, mobile routers, or mobile hotspot with Ethernet port) - Dedicated area to perform duties without interference, with structured breaks and a structured environment - Ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity in a remote environment

Pay Range and Benefits

- Pay Range: $15.25-16.00 or State/Local minimum wage, if higher - Comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan

Shift and Schedule

- Monday-Friday; 11am-8pm (EST) which is 10am-7pm CST and 9am-6pm (MST) and 8am-5 pm (PST) - During training, the hours will be 9am-6pm EST - 10% Shift Differential for residents in Eastern time zone
