Key Responsibilities

As a Specialist II, Revenue Accounting, you'll be responsible for performing essential accounting functions within our Revenue Accounting department. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing fundamental accounting functions: Reviewing accounting data, processing refund claims, and updating journal vouchers with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies: Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies in a timely manner, including communication with external contacts as necessary.
• Completing data entry: Entering accounting information with high accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring seamless data management and reporting.
• Modifying and reviewing daily passenger ticket and ancillary refund requests: Ensuring accurate and timely processing of refund requests, minimizing delays and errors.
• Distributing and storing month-end closing statistics reports: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring easy access to critical information.
• Performing various tasks and ad-hoc activities: Supporting the department's/organization's achievement of goals and business objectives through various tasks and ad-hoc activities assigned by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• High School diploma or GED equivalency: A minimum educational requirement, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field preferred.
• Aircraft/travel industry accounting experience: An asset, but not a requirement. If you have experience in this field, we'd love to hear about it!
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook: Strong proficiency in these essential tools is a must.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and systems: A solid understanding of accounting principles and systems is essential for success in this role.
• Excellent organizational skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
• Intelligent and analytical ability: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to reason and analyze complex data.
