Job Description:
Provide exceptional customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use freight or baggage services by addressing their needs and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Offer friendly support and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
- Work in a helpful spirit to ensure the success of our organization
- Provide excellent customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use freight or baggage services by addressing their needs and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle all aspects of check-in and registration by working a modernized retail location system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
- Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers in a respectful and courteous manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets, processing charges, making change, and balancing daily transactions
- Inspect baggage and freight, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed
- Manage misused customers due to oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving such issues quickly and in accordance with rules established by the organization
- Provide current and accurate fare, schedule, reservation, flight departure/arrival information, and answer general inquiries from customers and other guests to the airport
- Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
- Write incident and complaint reports as needed
- Responsibilities may vary due to the size and association of the station
- Should be able to meet any physical demands listed on this description
- May perform other work duties as directed by Representative's Supervisors
Information, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job
- Willingness to understand records, follow directions, learn and comprehend tagging strategies, rules, and guidelines
- Ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful circumstances
- Should be able to sufficiently complete the Customer Service Specialist training program with an 80% or higher average and an assessment period
- Should be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle crises as needed
- Should work under close time constraints to achieve quick turnaround of aircraft
- Should provide a well-groomed appearance in understanding the Ground Agents Representative Handbook and Work Arrangement
- Should be able to perform all job duties within a confined space
- Should be able to communicate verbally by phone, face-to-face, and on public address systems effectively
- Should have good written and oral communication skills
- Should be able to convey information and directions verbally or via radio equipment
