Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechatronics Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching classes in basic DC & AC electricity, electrical power distribution & wiring, 3-phase motors control systems, fluid power systems, mechanical drive systems, DC power systems, test and measurement instrumentation systems, programmable logical controller interfacing and programming, and industrial robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechatronics, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to create engaging learning experiences for students of diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
As a Mechatronics Instructor at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Instructing classes in mechatronics principles, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineering
- Developing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment activities
- Participating in program and departmental meetings to discuss student progress and program development
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and grades
- Providing feedback and guidance to students on their academic and career goals
- Staying current with industry developments and best practices in mechatronics education
Qualifications
To be successful as a Mechatronics Instructor at arenaflex, you will need:
- An Associate degree in Manufacturing, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- Two (2) years of industry-related experience or five (5) years of industry-related experience
- Demonstrated work experience in one of the four key areas listed below:
+ Industrial Three-Phase Electric Motor Control Systems Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair + Mechanical Power Transmission Systems Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair + Fluid (Hydraulic & Pneumatics) Power Systems Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair + Robotic Control Systems Interfacing, Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repair
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences for students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Manufacturing, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- Experience in teaching or training in a mechatronics-related field
- Certification in mechatronics or a related field
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools
