Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer support to clients using Google Cloud products and services
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and engineering, to resolve complex technical issues and improve customer experiences
- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Google Cloud products and services, as well as industry trends and best practices
- Analyzing customer feedback and usage patterns to identify areas for improvement and inform product development
- Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and product managers
- Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support to clients
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing or support role, with a focus on cloud computing or virtualization
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and usage patterns to inform product development and customer support strategies
Preferred Qualifications
If you have:
- Experience with cloud-based engineering, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of cloud-based data analytics, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data streaming
- Experience with cloud-based security, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance
- Strong programming skills, including languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with cloud-based machine learning, including model development and deployment
