Experienced Full Stack Systems Engineer – AWS SOC Engineering and Automation Specialist

A Day in the Life
As a Systems Engineer on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from designing and implementing new security solutions to troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain our physical security infrastructure, including our bodily access control device (PACS)
- Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
- Collaborate with internal clients to identify and resolve operational issues and provide exceptional customer support
- Create availability and performance metrics, analyze data, and develop recommendations for improving our services
- Architect new solutions for running a PACS in a large distributed environment
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure the availability and performance of our services
- Work closely with our partners to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Develop and maintain documentation for our systems and processes
- Collaborate with our team to identify and implement new technologies and solutions to improve our services
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in an associated field or 5+ years of experience in a related field
- 5+ years of experience with Windows Server
- 3+ years of experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- 2+ years of scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with documentation and knowledge management
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with Networking or exposure to primary principles and troubleshooting connectivity issues
- 3+ years of experience with AWS Services
- 3+ years of experience with a Physical Access Control device (Lenel, RedCloud, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience with Linux system management and/or related development
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, VPC, etc.)
- Proven ability to work in a 24/7 online environment
