Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty drug treatment. You will be responsible for the coordination and handling of new prescription drug requests and reorders, including verifying and renewing benefits, assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, collecting and processing copay payments, obtaining approvals, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with records of sales or clinical issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional phone support to patients receiving specialty drug treatment, ensuring timely and accurate handling of prescription drug requests and reorders
- Verify and renew patient benefits, and assist with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
- Collect and process copay payments, and obtain approvals from insurance companies and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve and process orders with records of sales or clinical issues
- Utilize Windows-based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications, to manage and resolve customer inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and transactions
Essential Qualifications
* Active IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License
- One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness

* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
