Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Visual Effects Supervisor to lead our VFX team in delivering exceptional visual experiences for our original movies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the VFX process, from script development to post-production. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of our movies and ensuring that our VFX pipeline is efficient, effective, and aligned with our creative vision.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all components of the VFX process on a slate of movie projects as assigned by the Director, VFX

• Collaborate with production teams, Studio Executive Producers, and Finance during development and pre-production
• Study scripts, develop VFX breakdowns & budgets, and plan manufacturing/post-production
• Provide feedback and comments on VFX's scope of work and feasibility
• Build and manage the visual effects teams, including recruiting Supervisors, manufacturers, and negotiating with vendors
• Oversee agreement negotiations and liaise with legal to ensure thresholds for costs and business regulations
• Handle VFX delivery progress and value file tracking, and troubleshoot schedule and budget issues
• Ensure manufacturing is running smoothly, meeting deadlines, and staying on budget
• Support expanding and maintaining constant reporting on budget, schedule, and VFX development
• Work with the VFX Manager and VFX Producer to review VFX media and ensure the highest quality work
• Gain knowledge of and network with new groups and up-and-comers, monitoring skills availability
• Technical knowledge of the visual effects process, including 4K pipelines and rising technologies for improving workflows
• Knowledge of tax incentives and rebates
• Assist in crafting, implementing, and executing strategic tasks and branch workflows in alignment with the Director, VFX

Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in overseeing multiple projects at a time in managerial roles, including VFX Producer, Post-Producer, VFX Executive Producer, VFX Supervisor, etc.

• Passion for visual effects and the artistry and technology that makes it possible
• Enjoy collecting and negotiating vendor bids, and budgeting for visual effects
• International relations and discretion in handling sensitive issues and confidential matters
• Strong government conversation and mastery of the ability to lead without authority
• Understanding of modern trends for VFX manufacturing workflows
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Preference and self-motivation to continuously analyze
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
