Key Responsibilities
As our Director of Sales Strategy and Customer Development, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing long-term sales strategies and annual sales plans that align with our business objectives
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Costco buying management, providing valuable insights into consumer profiles and trends
- Collaborating with the Costco GMM to develop regional event volume strategies, address discrepancies in expected volume, and influence changes to adjust volume back on track
- Creating and overseeing the implementation of new programs and services for Costco and its vendors
- Setting annual and monthly sales objectives in alignment with our CDS business plan
- Identifying and addressing discrepancies in expected volume, and influencing changes to adjust volume back on track
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets
- Experience in collaborating with large retail partners, including Costco
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and develop long-term sales strategies
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent relationship-building abilities, and strategic thinking and planning skills
- Ability to analyze market trends and consumer insights, and creative problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience in managing relationships with major retailers, including Costco
- Proven experience in developing and implementing new programs and services for retail partners
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to drive business results
