dbt Senior Data Engineer | Asahi

On behalf of our client Asahi Europe & International, GT is looking for the dbt Senior Data Engineer. Note: this is a full-time project-based role planned until the end of 2026, with a possible extension. Occasional business trips may be required (up to once per month maximum). About the Role: We are looking for a data professional to contribute to project development by supporting and overseeing the building and testing of robust, scalable, and high-quality data pipelines. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights while ensuring high standards of data integrity and reliability. Responsibilities: Design and maintain end-to-end data orchestration using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks Workflows Build and optimize modular transformation layers using dbt (data build tool) Ensure documentation is accurate and complete Implement and manage Data Quality (DQ) processes within dbt to ensure reliable and trusted data Troubleshoot complex data issues and performance bottlenecks Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data models Essential knowledge, skills & experience: Proven experience with dbt Core, including writing macros, snapshots, and documentation Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, linked services, integration runtimes) Experience implementing automated testing and Data Quality frameworks (e.g. dbt-tests, Great Expectations, or custom DQ gates) Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex and performant queries Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data workflows within Azure DevOps Nice-to-have: Python scripting for custom data tasks Interview Steps: GT interview with Recruiter Technical interview Final interview Apply To This Job
