Senior Project Controls Lead – Cost, Schedule & Procurement / Contract Management
Industry Preference Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, Life Sciences, EPC/EPCM, Industrial Projects Role Summary The Senior Project Controls Lead will be responsible for overseeing integrated project controls activities including cost management, scheduling, procurement tracking, contract administration, progress monitoring, forecasting, and reporting for pharmaceutical engineering projects. The role requires close coordination with global project teams, clients, vendors, and engineering stakeholders across US EST time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall project controls activities covering cost, schedule, procurement, contracts, and reporting. Develop and maintain integrated project control systems for engineering and construction projects. Monitor project budgets, commitments, actuals, forecasts, and cost trends. Review and validate project schedules, milestones, critical paths, and recovery plans. Coordinate procurement tracking including PO status, expediting, vendor deliverables, and logistics. Support contract administration activities including change orders, claims management, and commercial tracking. Prepare executive dashboards, KPI reports, earned value reports, and project performance metrics. Conduct schedule and cost risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies. Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and management presentations. Ensure alignment with project governance standards and reporting requirements. Mentor junior project controls team members. Hands on experience in Primavera P6 Scheduling software Required Technical Skills Strong experience in project cost management and forecasting. Advanced scheduling knowledge using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. Experience in procurement tracking and contract management. Knowledge of EPC/EPCM project execution methodologies. Understanding of pharmaceutical engineering and capital project environments. Experience with project reporting tools and dashboards. Strong understanding of project controls KPIs and earned value management. Experience with SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, Power BI, or similar systems is preferred.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. PMP certification preferred. Primavera P6 certification is an advantage. Soft Skills & Communication Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills. Ability to independently lead client-facing meetings. Comfortable supporting and coordinating with US-based teams in EST time zones. Apply To This Job
