AI Automation Specialist
This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone. Our client is a rapidly scaling ecommerce and CPG company focused on leveraging AI-first systems and operational efficiency to support growth across multiple brands and business functions. The company is seeking a highly technical and systems-oriented operator who can serve as a technical right hand to leadership by building automations, integrations, dashboards, and AI-driven operational workflows. Location Fully Remote | 9 AM - 5 PM EST Role Overview The AI Automation Specialist will architect, build, and optimize internal systems, workflows, automations, and operational tooling across a fast-moving ecommerce business. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical problem-solving skills with strong operational thinking and hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code. The ideal candidate understands how to rapidly build and connect systems using APIs, automations, AI workflows, and lightweight development solutions to improve operational visibility and efficiency. This person will work closely with leadership to transform operational needs and ideas into functional systems, dashboards, automations, and integrations that support the company’s scaling efforts.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Driven Workflow Development Build and optimize AI-assisted operational workflows and automations Leverage tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, and other AI-assisted development platforms to rapidly prototype and build solutions Identify inefficiencies across business operations and implement scalable improvements Systems Integrations & Automation Connect systems across CRM, fulfillment, marketing, customer support, and operational platforms Build integrations using APIs, webhooks, and automation tools Improve operational visibility through centralized dashboards and reporting systems Automate repetitive operational and reporting tasks Technical Operations Support Assist with internal tooling and lightweight application development Build workflows that support customer service, fulfillment, payments, marketing, and operational reporting Support AI-first operational infrastructure across the organization Collaboration & Execution Work directly with leadership to understand operational pain points and rapidly execute solutions Translate high-level business ideas into functional technical systems Operate with strong ownership and high attention to detail in a fast-paced startup environment
Qualifications
Experience Experience building automations, integrations, or operational systems Previous experience in ecommerce, DTC, or operationally complex businesses preferred Experience using AI-assisted coding and development workflows Skills Experience with Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar AI development tools Familiarity with Make.com, Zapier, n8n, APIs, and webhooks Understanding of operational systems and data workflows Basic to intermediate coding experience preferred (JavaScript, Python, or similar) Familiarity with ecommerce and CRM platforms preferred Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving abilities Highly proactive and execution-oriented Comfortable building quickly and iterating in startup environments Strong attention to detail and operational awareness Ability to work independently and move projects forward with minimal oversight What Success Looks Like Successful implementation of operational automations and workflows Improved visibility across operational systems and reporting Reduced manual operational work across the organization Faster execution and improved operational scalability High-impact internal tooling and integrations that support business growth Strong partnership with leadership as a technical and operational right hand Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing ecommerce and CPG company focused on building AI-first operational systems at scale.
