Topics to be reviewed include information security principles, the information security common body of knowledge, governance and risk management, business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning, telecommunications, network, and Internet security, law, investigation, and ethics pertaining to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of confidential or sensitive data, and an overview of upcoming threats and protections against digital crimes of the future. Qualifications – Required: Master’s Degree Qualifications – Discipline: Information Technology and/or Digital Technology, Public Safety, Public/Business Administration Qualifications - Other: Doctorate preferred. Significant work experience and/or research in a field related to course content, specifically in the field of public safety, information security, and interagency collaboration. Success in teaching online course, preferably at the graduate level, with previous experience in developing and/or teaching in an online environment and should be receptive to pedagogical approaches that specifically embrace online adult learners. Knowledge of learning management systems (particularly Brightspace from Desire2Learn) would be an asset.
