Project Accountant - Hybrid SA

Project Accountant Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid) Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 + Bonus (depending on experience) We are partnering with a growing, project-driven organization in San Antonio that is looking to add a Project Accountant to their team. Why This Opportunity Stands OutHigh-impact role supporting large, active projects across the business Collaborative culture with strong partnership between accounting and operations Growth-oriented team with opportunities to expand responsibilities Hybrid schedule and competitive benefits package Key ResponsibilitiesManage the full lifecycle of project billing, including setup, invoicing, and adjustments Review contracts and proposals to ensure accurate billing terms and compliance Prepare and process client invoices on a monthly basis Track project budgets, costs, and revenue recognition Monitor job costs including labor, materials, and expenses Analyze project financials and identify variances or discrepancies Maintain accurate records of project activity and financial performance Support forecasting and budgeting efforts related to project work Maintain accounts receivable reporting and follow up on outstanding balances Process consultant/vendor invoices and ensure proper cost allocation Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries Prepare ad hoc reports and support leadership with financial insights Partner closely with Project Managers and internal teams to support project success Participate in project planning and status meetings Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing and financial matters QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project-based environments Experience with job costing, project billing, and contract review Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP or similar functions) Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Effective communication and relationship-building skills Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability Proactive and team-oriented approach Click here to apply online Apply To This Job
