Role Synopsis
As a Data Scientist and Patient Safety Analytics Lead, you'll be responsible for leading our team of data experts in developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions that drive patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, researchers, and business stakeholders, to identify key areas of improvement and develop data-driven strategies to address them.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions that drive patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and business stakeholders to identify key areas of improvement and develop data-driven strategies to address them
- Design and implement data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Develop and maintain complex data models and algorithms to support patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Lead the development of predictive models and machine learning algorithms to identify high-risk patients and prevent adverse events
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate data analytics solutions with existing healthcare systems and infrastructure
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science and analytics, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Essential Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in data science and analytics, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions that drive patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools and technologies, including Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling, including random forests, decision trees, and neural networks
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, and SQL
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, researchers, and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
* Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and text analytics
- Experience with computer vision and image analysis
- Experience with healthcare-specific data platforms, including Epic and Cerner
- Certification in data science or analytics, such as Certified Data Scientist (CDS) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
