Regional HR Business Partner – Multi-State

Meritus Gas Partners, a national leader in gas and welding supply distribution, is seeking a Regional HR Business Partner to join the team based out of the Nashville, TN area. This position will support our central region (Alabama, Missouri, and Tennessee). Although the position is remote, applicants should reside in the Nashville area and must be able to travel ~50%. Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience in a multi-state environment
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations including: FMLA, ADA, DOL, OSHA, DOT/FMCSA and FDA.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • HR Certification
  • Experience in developing HR Policies & Procedures.
  • Experience in delivery of training
  • Business & financial acumen
  • Excellent people & communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to travel domestically ~50%.

Essential duties/responsibilities:

  • Partners with the leadership team to develop and execute the organizations’ human resource strategies and goals.
  • Administers the talent acquisition process.
  • Coordinates the onboarding of new employees.
  • Maintains company’s employee policy and procedure manuals.
  • Coordinates compensation and benefits administration.
  • Deliver HR and Safety training as required.
  • Investigates and resolves complaints & incidents.
  • Oversee Workers Compensation programs
  • Assists with employee discipline and terminations.
  • Develop job descriptions, policies and procedures.
  • Stays current with regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
