Primary Responsibilities
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative - National Remote, you'll be responsible for:
- Answering incoming phone calls from patients and 3rd party vendors to identify the type of assistance they need
- Resolving issues on the first call, navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide an appropriate response to the caller
- Delivering information and answering questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with clients' customers
- Completing the documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends
Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in written correspondence with clients or customers
- 2 years of experience in a metrics-based role
- 2 years of experience in a customer service call center environment
- Familiarity with using computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to work any shift between the hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM MST from Monday - Friday
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, prior healthcare experience and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry would be a significant advantage in this role.
Telecommuting Requirements
As a remote worker, you'll need to:
- Keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Establish a dedicated work area that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Soft Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
- A demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate manner
- Skilled in problem-solving to quickly assess the current state and formulate recommendations
