Remote Trauma Therapist – 1099 Contractor Company: Behavioral Trauma Recovery Center Location: Remote / Telehealth Job Type: Part-Time, Contract, 1099 Pay: $165 per completed diagnostic evaluation; $110 per completed 60-minute therapy session Schedule: Flexible, based on referral availability About Behavioral Trauma Recovery Center Behavioral Trauma Recovery Center is expanding its trauma-focused provider network to support accident and injury survivors through telehealth-based behavioral health care. Clients may be experiencing anxiety, panic symptoms, fear of driving, sleep disruption, emotional distress, trauma symptoms, pain-related stress, or reduced daily functioning after an accident or injury-related event. This is a network provider opportunity. Clinicians may receive referrals as cases become available based on state licensure, client needs, availability, responsiveness, and documentation quality. Client referrals and weekly hours are not guaranteed. Position Overview We are seeking fully licensed therapists who are professional, reliable, trauma-informed, and strong with documentation. This role is best for clinicians who want flexible, supplemental case opportunities and can provide quality telehealth care while following a structured clinical workflow. BTRC handles referral development and administrative coordination. Clinicians are not responsible for marketing, billing, or finding their own BTRC clients. What You’ll Do Clinicians may provide:
- Diagnostic evaluations for accident and injury survivors
- 60-minute individual therapy sessions by telehealth
- Trauma-focused support for anxiety, panic, fear of driving, sleep disruption, and emotional distress
- Treatment planning and progress monitoring
- Timely documentation using BTRC templates and software systems
- Communication with BTRC staff regarding scheduling, availability, and documentation
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Active independent clinical license in at least one state
- Examples: LCSW, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent
- Must be fully licensed, not associate-level
- Experience treating trauma, anxiety, PTSD symptoms, depression, adjustment concerns, or stress-related symptoms
- HIPAA-compliant private workspace
- Reliable computer and internet access
- Comfort providing telehealth services
- Comfort using EHR/software systems
- Strong documentation skills
- Professional liability insurance before accepting cases
- Completion of BTRC onboarding and training before receiving referrals.
What We Are Looking For BTRC is looking for clinicians who are organized, responsive, clinically grounded, and able to follow a structured workflow. The ideal provider understands that strong clinical care and strong documentation go together. Because BTRC serves accident and injury survivors, clinicians must document clearly, remain within clinical scope, and avoid unsupported legal, liability, settlement, causation, or disability statements.
Compensation
This is a 1099 contractor role paid per completed service. No minimum caseload or minimum earnings are guaranteed. BTRC pays:
- $165 per completed initial diagnostic evaluation
- $110 per completed 60-minute therapy session
Payment is issued twice per month by direct deposit after services are completed and documentation is submitted within BTRC standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred, but not required:
- EMDR or other trauma-focused training
- Experience with accident or injury survivors
- Spanish-speaking or bilingual ability
- Licensure in multiple states
- Evening or weekend availability
- Experience using clinical measures such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, or PCL-5
