Job Summary
As a Senior Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of arenaflex, interacting with our members, providers, and clients via phone, internet, or written correspondence. You will engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of healthcare plans, tools, and resources. Your primary objective will be to guide members along a clear path to care, ensuring that their service experience is exceptional and their needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer incoming phone calls from members, providers, and clients regarding benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, explanation of benefits, and other related inquiries
- Create written correspondence if issues are not resolved during the call
- Route inquiries needing further investigation to the appropriate department and conduct routine case checks as needed
- Work on two computer monitors using multiple applications to process prior authorizations for our members
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional customer service
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of Customer Service experience in a Call Center environment
- 1 year of prior Microsoft Office experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Proficiency in using multiple applications and software systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working in the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of healthcare plans, tools, and resources
- Certification in customer service or a related field
- Experience with prior authorization processes and procedures
