Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing data products and features that drive business growth and innovation. You'll work closely with product owners, data analysts, and business partners to translate product backlog items into logical units of engineering work, implement distributed data processing pipelines, and build tools, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to enable data flow patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement data products and features in collaboration with product owners, data analysts, and business partners
- Contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and standards for processing and evaluating big data
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks aimed at processing large volumes of data
- Translate product backlog items into logical units of engineering work
- Implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem
- Build tools, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patterns
- Collaborate with engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented and technical best practices are defined and followed
- Create and participate in automated unit tests and participate in integration tests
- Use and extend continuous integration and deployment frameworks
- Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis
- Work in teams to resolve operational and performance issues
Essential Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Information Systems
- 2 years of experience in the offered position or a computer-related position
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, and Hadoop
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java
- Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
