Job Summary
As an Experienced Customer Service Agent in the OPT, you will be the primary point of contact for callers seeking information and assistance with pupil transportation services. You will be responsible for responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service to our customers. Your expertise and knowledge will be essential in ensuring that our customers receive the support they need to navigate the complexities of pupil transportation.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to telephone inquiries to determine the type of service required and provide accurate information to customers
- Log customer information, inquiries, and resolutions into an automated tracking system to ensure seamless communication and follow-up
- Review students' transportation status to determine eligibility for transportation needs and communicate with households and schools to verify and request additional information
- Maintain records of school personnel contacted for reporting purposes and assist with quality assurance evaluation of calls to the call center
- Collaborate with other Customer Service Agents and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and improve customer satisfaction
Qualification Requirements
* A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or an associate degree from an accredited college with two years of satisfactory, full-time experience responding to inquiries in a customer service, help desk, or public relations capacity
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory, full-time experience described above
- A satisfactory combination of education and experience, with a minimum of one year of satisfactory experience using computers to access information technology systems and databases for researching answers to questions
- Two additional years of experience described above
- Knowledge and understanding of overall organizational strategy and of call center environment/operations
- Excellent ability to listen and communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a customer service, help desk, or public information capacity in a government agency or educational institution
- Familiarity with pupil transportation services and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve common goals
