Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Care Associate to join our team in a remote setting. As a Customer Care Associate, you will be responsible for providing front-line phone customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your expertise in the insurance industry, combined with your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, will enable you to provide outstanding service and support to our customers.
Responsibilities
As a Customer Care Associate, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing front-line phone customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and striving to meet service standards
- Handling between 75 to 100 calls per day, resolving questions and issues in a professional and effective manner
- Developing and maintaining a solid working knowledge of the insurance industry and of all products, services, and processes performed by the team
- Collaborating with management or other team members as appropriate to proactively address service issues and concerns
- Communicating effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 1 year of experience in an office environment
- 1 year of experience using a computer with Microsoft Windows PC applications
- 6 months of experience working from home in a quiet area
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous insurance industry experience that required knowledge of life insurance and annuity policies
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet service standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
Preferred Qualifications
* 6 months of experience in a role that required attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability for your work product
- 6 months of experience in a role that required you to communicate (oral/written) effectively in a professional/office setting
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and its products, services, and processes
- Experience working in a call center environment

Compensation and Benefits
