Proofreader (Slovene)
We are looking for a detail-focused Proofreader (Slovene language) to support short-term remote projects for a quality-driven services environment. This is a remote Contract position with assignments expected to run 3 days. In this role, you will review documents translated from English into Slovene through AI. You will be looking for accuracy, consistency, and readability while helping maintain quality standards across deliverables. Responsibilities:
- Review written materials in assigned Slovene language and correct issues related to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and layout.
- Refine documents to ensure wording is accurate, easy to understand, and appropriate for the target local language.
- Preserve consistency in tone, terminology, and formatting while following project-specific standards.
- Complete proofreading assignments within defined turnaround times and maintain a high level of quality.
- Share progress updates, raise clarification points quickly, and respond to project-related questions in a timely manner.
- Handle confidential or sensitive content with care and sound judgment.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience requiring strong attention to detail in proofreading, editing, or document review.
- Business-level fluency in Slovene.
- Strong command of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and written language conventions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing short project deadlines.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and other common document editing tools.
- Careful attention to detail and a consistent approach to quality control.
Compensation $24.00-$31.00 Hourly
