Key Responsibilities and Job Elements

As an Experienced Customer Service Area Manager at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in leading a team of hourly workforce and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting, mentoring, and motivating your hourly workforce to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance
  • Collaborating with all support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet business objectives
  • Managing safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure that our customers receive their orders on time and to the right location
  • Lifting up to 49 pounds and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching to perform tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Standing or walking for up to 12 hours during shifts, working in an environment with variable noise levels, and adapting to changing temperatures and weather conditions
  • Continuously climbing and descending stairs (applicable to sites with stairs)

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, operations, or logistics) preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a customer-facing or operations environment
  • Proven track record of success in leading teams, improving productivity, and enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous in this role:

  • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Familiarity with arenaflex's operations and logistics processes
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Certification in a related field (e.g., OSHA, forklift operation)
