About arenaflex's Information Stage Group

The Information Stage Group at arenaflex operates a range of platform services and tools that empower the organization to ingest and analyze data at petabyte scale. Our team works closely with various design and product groups to extract valuable insights from this data, enabling us to deliver a superior experience to arenaflex clients consistently. Some of the services managed by the Information Stage Group include a multi-million RPS scale data ingestion service, multiple high-throughput Apache Kafka clusters, a set of Kafka interfaces connecting different data sources and sinks, a query stage on top of our Data Lake with various query engines like Apache Hive, Voila, Apache Flume, instruments for real-time system monitoring, and Apache WindHive for integration.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Programming Improvement Specialist in the Information Stage Group, you will:

• Combine your expertise in Information Stage technologies with your product sense to address high-scale, high-impact, and data-relevant use cases for other product and design groups at arenaflex.
• Work closely with Programmers and ML architects to build Information Stage reflections that meet the needs of various groups, systems, and products.
• Streamline data delivery and build the framework required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data for a wide range of use cases using SQL/Flume.
• Build stream processing pipelines and tools to support a vast array of analysis and review use cases.
• Continuously assess new and relevant technologies and drive the adoption of new best practices.
• Influence and drive engineering and design conversations in the Information Stage group.
• Work in a cross-functional team and collaborate with peers throughout the entire software development life cycle with a strong focus on continuous delivery.
• Act as a technical mentor and guide for junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to support hyper-scale data frameworks across multiple geographies and locations.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from a reputable institution.

• 4-6 years of experience in software development, preferably in data-related groups.
• In-depth understanding and experience working with high-scale data lakehouse frameworks.
• Active experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Flume, SQL, Hadoop, Hive, WindHive, Kafka, and Kafka connectors.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Go, Python.
• Solid understanding of Database and Data Storage fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of Data Storage designs like Parquet, Hudi, Delta, etc.
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

* Experience with data lakehouse solutions like DataBricks.

• Experience with continuous streaming data pipelines using Flume Streaming or Flink.
• B.Tech/B.E/Experts/PhD in Computer Science from a reputable institution.
