Job Summary:
As a Full Stack Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You'll work closely with our Ocean Management team to execute strategies that drive business growth, maximize competitiveness, and improve service quality. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing carrier performance, pricing, and service issues, as well as supporting sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute strategies to increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality
- Implement and communicate pricing programs to support volume targets and yield enhancement
- Analyze carrier performance, pricing, and service issues to identify areas for improvement
- Support sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert, providing guidance on ocean product development and implementation
- Collaborate with the Ocean Management team to develop and implement ocean strategies that drive business growth and improve service quality
- Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
- Gather, analyze, and report information regarding performance and competitive activity
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, sales teams, and operations teams to promote the ocean product and drive business growth
- Manage annual budgets and control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets
- Work closely with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., logistics, business, international trade)
- At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience
- Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)
- Knowledge of ocean carrier operations and logistics
- Experience working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, and quoting ocean rates
