Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop scalable, distributed data systems that meet the evolving needs of our microservices

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and TPMs, to drive business outcomes
• Architect and build powerful, flexible, and highly accessible distributed systems
• Drive innovation and contribute to open-source projects, shaping the future of data infrastructure
• Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to design and implement data pipelines
• Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code, following best practices and industry standards
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code meets arenaflex's high standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with the team to identify and implement solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in data engineering and distributed systems

Essential Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems or applications

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data engineering, and cloud computing
• Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
• Experience with data processing frameworks, such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or Apache Spark
• Familiarity with data storage systems, such as Apache Cassandra, Apache HBase, or Amazon S3
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
• Experience with containerization, using Docker or Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
