Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Supporting the implementation of recent technology packages that support US Federal Market Data Science, including requirements gathering and solution analysis
• Working closely with our core IT team to support the development and production data pipeline
• Reviewing and implementing data engineering best practices consistent with industry standards
• Developing and maintaining a production data pipeline that supports the training and production of machine learning models
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects and initiatives

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• S. citizenship and a valid U.S. driver's license
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• At least five years of professional experience related to data engineering in an enterprise environment
• At least three years of experience supporting end-to-end development of scalable data pipelines, including monitoring and support for production
• Strong skills in Python and SQL, as well as experience with data warehousing, relational databases, JSON, Apache Hive, Spark, or Hadoop
• Experience in a US Federal agency and with the Cloudera platform and Docker containers is highly desirable
