The Role

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk / Typist at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in our operations team. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently enter data into our database, ensuring that our clients' information is up-to-date and secure. You'll work closely with our team to verify data, update existing records, and retrieve information as requested. Your attention to detail, typing skills, and ability to work independently will be essential in meeting our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards and your ability to move through varying programs

  • Type in data provided directly from customers
  • Fill in spreadsheets with potentially large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Essential Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a data entry clerk (preferred but not required)

  • Fast typing skills (at least 40 wpm)
  • A level of comfort with word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Good command of English both oral and written
  • Customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Familiarity with data confidentiality principles and best practices
  • Basic knowledge of database management systems
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems quickly
