Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Phone and Chat Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a hybrid remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to balance your time between our remote office and home, working a variety of shifts between 7:00am-7:00pm (CST) Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication and problem-solving skills, technical savvy, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
As a Phone and Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing large amounts of inbound or outbound calls in a timely manner
- Managing multiple chat channels at one time
- Following communication "scripts" when handling different topics
- Identifying customers' needs, clarifying information, researching, and providing solutions and/or alternatives
- Accessing company and client resources to accurately handle calls
- Performing data entry and customer service skills
- Navigating online efficiently to verify nurses' credentials and follow up with written messages
- Handling follow-up phone calls with nurses to confirm the status of picking up shifts
- Remaining positive and professional in all customer interactions
- Flexibility to cross-train as requested
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 1 year of customer service or customer support experience
- 1 year of previous call center or office background experience required
- Technical savvy and previous remote work from home experience a plus
- Quick learner and able to work independently
- Type 35 words per minute accurately
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening
- A background check applicable with state and federal laws is required

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
As a Phone and Chat Specialist, you'll receive:
- Starting pay of $14/hour, plus shift differential (extra $1/hr nights & weekends) and possible increase after 90 days pending attendance and performance
- Work hours: Shifts between 7:00am-7:00pm (CST) Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends
- Paid training: 3 weeks in length from 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday (CST)
- Status: Full-time 40 hours
- Equipment provided: We'll ship equipment to you for full-time permanent employees
- Must have verified internet service (secure, reliable, and dedicated high-speed is required to support business needs) and an established dedicated work area (desk, chair, electrical outlet, direct LAN connection)

- Processor: Intel Core i5 5200 Series or greater
- Memory: 8GB on Windows 8.1 / 10 64 bits
- Screen Resolution: 1280x768 or higher, dual monitors required
- USB headset
- Up-to-date antivirus software must be installed on the platform and a recent scan completed (will be checked prior to allowing login to system)
- Firewall must be enabled (will be checked prior to allowing login to system)
