As a Data Engineer in our Customer Service team, you'll play a critical role in building reliable, scalable data pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable business metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Customer Service team, where you'll work closely with data engineers, software engineers, and business owners to build and maintain data pipelines, develop custom visualization tools, and drive business insights. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Collaborating with data engineers, software engineers, and business owners to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that support business growth and customer satisfaction
- Developing and maintaining custom visualization tools to surface key business insights and drive data-driven decision-making
- Working with big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) to process and analyze large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records)
- Designing and implementing data models that are adaptable to changes in source data or business processes
- Developing and maintaining advanced SQL skills and advocating for data quality
- Collaborating with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records)
- Strong data modeling skills, with the ability to design structures that are adaptable to changes in source data or business processes
- Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code
- Advanced SQL skills and a strong advocacy for data quality
- Analytical aptitude to think through business problems and prioritize autonomously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with analysts, engineers, and business leaders
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles

Compensation and Benefits
arenaflex offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a unique culture and environment. Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary, with no bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience.
- Salary range: $170,000 - $720,000
