Job Summary

As an Experienced Data Annotation Supervisor on our Autopilot Data Annotation team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Data Annotation Specialists in labeling 3D and image data for neural network education. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our data annotation process, which is critical to the development of our Autopilot technology. You will work closely with engineers and Autopilot control to drive project success and contribute to the growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct ongoing performance management of the team: create training plans, track progress, and complete monthly analyses and lead general performance reports.

• Evaluate daily performance in proprietary software and report daily summaries and team metrics.
• Work closely with engineers and Autopilot control to own annotation tips that require a record of every technical and operational constraint.
• Develop and implement task recommendations to improve labeling efficiency and effectiveness.
• Execute proper headcount allocation among Quality Control and labeling, and prioritize project queues every day as directed by management.
• Ensure documentation and daily planning for the team is accurate and continuously updated.
• Other supervisory duties include employee development, conducting bi-annual performance reviews, and monthly performance check-ins with Team Leads and Data Annotation Specialists.
• Recognize employees on a monthly cadence that continuously exceeds expectations.
• Mentor direct reports and ensure the team works as a cohesive unit.
• Accurately control timekeeping and attendance via the Kronos system.

* Experience leading medium-sized teams that perform manual operations.

• Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritizing responsibilities with a focus on order of precedence and completing tasks in a timely manner.
• Commitment to data accuracy and throughput.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for immediate learning systems.
• Proven track record executing and meeting sensitive deadlines.
• Experience dealing with multiple competing responsibilities with limited resources.
• Strong communication and presentation skills – able to explain complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in large workflow software (JIRA, Excel, etc.).
