Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data management systems that support our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive growth and innovation. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud computing, and web application development will be essential in shaping the future of arenaflex.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement data management systems that support business operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Windstream
- Design and implement data warehouses, data models, and data access strategies
- Ensure data quality and implement tools and processes for automating data quality issues
- Work with internal and external data suppliers to ensure data accuracy and quality
- Coach and lead junior data engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight
- Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed systems
- Work with sensitive data, adhering to strict SOX controls and change management processes
- Develop and implement data visualizations and reporting tools to support business decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to drive innovation and growth
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud computing, and web application development
- Strong expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, and data modeling
- Proficiency in SQL and query writing
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality tools, and data visualization platforms
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and applications
- Experience with data science tools, such as Pandas, NumPy, R, TensorFlow, and Keras
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins
