To learn more visit: California DMV The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to hire a student assistant to be part of the DMV Intelligent Automation Team in the Digital Transformation Office to provide support to process automation and workflow management efforts that utilize technologies from UiPath, SimpliGov, Microsoft SharePoint, Google Compute Platform, and Amazon Web Services. Conditions of Employment This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause. Prerequisites Must be a college student attending classes during the regular term (Fall, Spring and Winter, if applicable), at one of the accredited colleges or universities on our affiliation list. Students declared major must match the major(s) listed in the job posting. Majors/Fields of Study Computer Science, Management Information Systems. Work Schedule F lexible workdays and work hours, Monday – Friday, between 8 AM – 5 PM, hybrid schedule. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor. Additional Work Schedule Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday – Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer). Compensation $16.90 to 21.66 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work i ndependently or as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of stakeholders, including but not limited to Business Analysts, Business Teams, Developers, Systems Administrators, etc.
Good problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skills relating to:
- Data Analysis : Employ statistical techniques and data mining tools to analyze large datasets. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Report Generation : Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Data Visualization : Utilize data visualization tools to create engaging and informative charts, graphs, and infographics.
- Knowledge of using computer programming fundamentals, functional programming, data transformation, business requirements, technical documentation, automation, robotic processing, and web-based workflow management is a plus.
Experience with technical documentation, business requirements documentation, robotic process automation, business process automation, intelligent automation/ machine learning, web-based forms, and Amazon Wed Services ( AWS) Lambda development is ideal.
