The Opportunity This is not a traditional FP&A or VP hire. Vetta Growth Partners is seeking a high-caliber finance operator who can move fluidly between deal execution and post-close value creation — someone who is equally comfortable building an investment model during diligence along with standing up a reporting infrastructure inside a newly acquired business. This is a partner track role with a direct path to leading deals and taking a leadership position within the firm. As a VP-level finance operator, you will serve as a critical deal and portfolio resource for Vetta Growth Partners. During the diligence phase, you will be embedded alongside our deal team, owning the construction of the investment model and acting as the primary interface with our Quality of Earnings (QoE) provider. As we approach close, you will begin professionalizing the target company’s finance function, a process that continues post-close when you join the portfolio company directly as a Vetta Growth Partners Operator. This role is designed to scale. As the portfolio grows, you will be expected to manage finance operations across multiple platform companies simultaneously, including any add-on M&A activity within those platforms while continuing to support new deal diligence. The ability to switch between companies, transactions, and strategic priorities is core to success in this position. In your embedded operating role at the platform company, you will own financial and lender reporting, build the infrastructure for monthly and quarterly management reviews, and work to recruit a permanent finance leader that you will hand over responsibilities to (CFO or VP of Finance) and who will carry the company through to an eventual exit. As you build a track record of operational and deal success, you will be positioned for increasing firm-level responsibility, including a formalized path to partner. Key Responsibilities: Deal Diligence & Investment Modeling

• Lead the construction and ongoing refinement of the investment model, including integrated financial statements, operating assumptions, and return analysis.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator between the Vetta deal team and the Quality of Earnings (QoE) provider throughout the diligence process.
• Analyze QoE findings, management adjustments, and operational data into the investment model with appropriate sensitivity analysis.
• Develop a clear understanding of the target’s revenue drivers, cost structure, and working capital dynamics to develop various financial dashboards that will be used post-close to track performance.
• Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities within the target’s historical financials and communicate findings directly to the deal team and investment committee.

Pre-Close Finance Professionalization

• Engage with target company management during diligence to assess the current state of the finance and accounting function.
• Define the initial set of KPIs, operating metrics, and business unit reporting structures that will be tracked throughout the hold period.
• Begin building reporting templates, chart of account recommendations, and process documentation that can be operationalized immediately post-close.
• Collaborate with the deal team to establish Day 1 priorities and a 100-day finance roadmap.

Post-Close Operating Role (Embedded Vetta Operator)

• Operate directly within the portfolio company working alongside the current controller or administrative resource as an embedded finance leader, representing Vetta Growth Partners’ operational standards.
• Standardize and own all financial reporting, including monthly management reporting packages, bank and lender compliance reporting, and covenant tracking.
• In collaboration with the CEO and Vetta deal lead, you will develop and maintain materials for monthly operating calls and quarterly board of directors’ presentations.
