Job Summary:

As a Retail Customer Service Specialist, you'll play a vital role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and upholding arenaflex's high standards of customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers and proactively approaching them to understand their needs and support their shopping experience
  • Serving as the primary customer service provider at the front end and liaison between customers and management
  • Providing register coverage as needed and ensuring strong customer service standards are met by supporting cashiers through complex transactions
  • Upholding arenaflex merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver exceptional customer service experiences that exceed customer expectations

  • Provide proactive support to customers, addressing their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and drive business growth

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset

  • 1-2 years of retail customer service experience, preferably in a sports or outdoor industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a sports or outdoor retail environment
