Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support through inbound and outbound calls, data entry, and collaboration with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of the patient. Key Responsibilities
* Answer inbound calls and occasionally make outbound calls to assist with medically related inquiries
- Use computer skills for data entry and gathering and reviewing patient billing and medical information
- Collaborate with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of the patient
- Provide positive customer service and empathy to patients and healthcare professionals
- Meet productivity and quality standards, including answering calls in a timely manner and resolving issues efficiently
Requirements
* 1 year or more of recent call center experience (no exceptions)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- High-speed internet with modem access required
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8am-10pm CST, Monday-Saturday
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a healthcare setting or with medical terminology and insurance processes
- Certification in medical terminology or a related field
- Experience with data entry and computer software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
