Responsibilities
As a Customer Care Voice Associate, your key responsibilities will include:
- Answering inbound calls regarding verification of health insurance benefits, eligibility, and claim status
- Supporting less experienced team members and handling escalated issues
- Interacting with clients and internal departments to solve issues
- Organizing and completing tasks according to assigned priorities
- Maintaining a strong focus on quality, including attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability
- Developing and maintaining a solid working knowledge of the healthcare insurance industry and of all products, services, and processes performed by the team
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in customer service
- 3+ years of experience that required a knowledge of healthcare insurance policy concepts
- 3+ years of experience using a computer with Windows PC applications
- Minimum internet speed of 20 upload/20 download
- Reliable transportation and availability to commute into the office in Providence, RI when required
- Required schedule availability for this position is Monday-Friday (08:00am to 08:00pm EST) and Saturday or Sunday (08:00am to 12:00pm EST)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
- Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance industry and products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
